Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Japanese Paper Company respects the EU rules regarding right of withdrawal, meaning that the customer has 14 days after receiving their paper to return the items. In this case, the return shipping is paid for by the customer. 

If you, the customer, have placed an order and regret the purchase, you can either use the "Cancel order" button on your order confirmation, or simply email us directly -- we are a family-run business and fulfilling all orders by hand, individually, with the care that each one requires. 

Due to the fragile nature of the paper, we request that you only return paper in the same condition you received it. We operate on very small margins, and work hard to get this beautiful paper from the master papermakers in Japan to your hands, with as much care, knowledge, and kindness as possible. 

In the case that your shipment arrives to you damaged, please send us information and photographs of the shipment within two days so we can make a claim with the postal service.

Paper is made by hand, from fibers harvested and processed by hand, and therefore there may be variation from batch to batch. Japanese Paper Company cannot guarantee that paper will be identical from order to order.
