Kitakata is Awagami’s best-known paper. It is  made from 90% Gampi fibers, and each sheet has a soft front, and a smooth, shiny back. It is a strong and versatile paper with a rich, natural color and four deckles, suitable for relief and intaglio printmaking, drawing, calligraphy, and bookbinding. 

Oil-based inks: Lithography, Etching, Silkscreen, Letterpress, Woodcut
Water-based inks: Sumi ink
