Unryu, meaning dragon cloud, is a smooth, fairly stiff, versatile paper with visible fibers. It bridges the gap between a decorative paper and a “plain” paper for art-making. It is a brighter white paper and lets light through, but is not transparent when placed against a matte background. Made at the Awagami Paper Mill on the island of Shikoku, and currently only available at JPC in rolls.
